Bali, Indonesia Trip – Day 4 & Day 5

Here comes the best part of it. Or maybe the worst part of it? HAHA!

On the forth day, we spend the day doing water sports. We did parasailing, flying fish and snorkeling. In addition to the package, there is so call glass bottom boat tour and turtle island visit.

It’s my first time for all the activities and I would say it did turn out so bad. Parasailing and flying fish is all great but my day just ruined because of the snorkel. I had hard time snorkel as the wave is quite harsh and the water is not clear.

I ended up feeling dizzy. And that’s all for my day. But the trip actually didn’t end just yet. We still has glass bottom boat and turtle island visit in schedule.

Glass bottom boat and turtle island visit is really frustrating. The so call glass bottom boat is actually the same boat that we ride for snorkel. Yes, the bottom of the boat has glass that can see through but thanks to the bad water, we hardly see anything underneath it.

The turtle island is nothing spectacular. It’s actually not a landing spot for turtle to hatch their eggs. It’s more of a place artificially made to exhibit turtle for tourism sake. I don’t know if others really believe in that crap or it’s us who don’t know how to appreciate things.

I believe turtle center in Malaysia do provide much more REAL experience than here. Furthermore, it’s not really an island of turtles! They just take us on a ride with boat to the other side of the land. What a scam!

Okay, I really don’t have any photo to show you all. Thanks again to the dizziness after snorkeling.

Overall? That’s not a good day for me but parasailing definitely GREAT! Just that I wish it can be longer. A very short fly.

And I guess that sums up the trip to Bali. Day 5? We spend the day at the villa and relax before check out. :P

p.s. I’m not sure if I ever want to go there again. Maybe not.

Bali, Indonesia Trip – Day 3

I’m getting lazy to update about Bali trip. But here comes the installment number 3.

On the second day, we decided to hire local tour guide for tour to Kintamani Volcano. They claim it’s something not to be missed once in Bali. We thought, why not since we already here and don’t know what to do right? So here we are on the third day. Touring Bali.

For USD30, we got private tour local tour guide, private car, with everything covered includes parking, fees, etc. In addition it’s not just Kintamani Volcano tour, it’s also a lot of stop by to Barong & Keris Dance, visit to silver and gold processing village, wood carving village, luwak (fox) coffee processing village, terrace paddy sight seeing and Obyek Wisata Temple.

In each village there are lot of same processing center next to each other. When they say it’s wood carving village, you really got to see wood carving center everywhere along the road.

Barong & Keris Dance

We have to pay some extra fees to enter here because it’s not included in the package. Just because it’s on the way and we thought maybe we give it a try since Barong & Keris Dance quite famous here more or less like Kecak Dance famous.

Bali, Indonesia Trip – Day 2

There is no time zone different between Bali and Malaysia but it is earlier by approximately an hour. It get darks at easily around 6pm in the evening and already get lights around 6am in the morning. Still, business starts after 8pm.

We still spend our time in the villa in the morning as the villa has private pool. Only near the afternoon we decide to go out and take a walk around the area.

Bali, Indonesia Trip – Day 1

It is my first passport. It is my first international trip. It is my first non business trip with flight. I don’t know where to park, what is the procedure for travelling, what is to expect at the airport, etc.

Our flight board in LCCT. We had a lot of discussion on either to go to airport by either public transport or car. Considering the expensive parking rates, obviously public transport is much cost effective but we end up went by car as we already kind of late for bus. As we’re not taking public transport, we left home quite early in the morning. Arrived at the airport just nice for check-in.

iPhone 4 Unboxing

The parcel comes very minimal. Just a brown box with manufacturing label on it. I’m surprise how small it is.

iPhone 4 Courier Packaging

I’m even more surprised when I open the parcel. The actual iPhone4 packaging is even smaller!

iPhone 4 Purchase – Singapore Online Apple Store

This might be old news. iPhone 4 already released in Malaysia. People can get their hands on local set with contract by either Maxis or Digi. But just for the record, I got mine from Singapore Online Apple Store.

Since that time, there is no available local set to get and the only available grey import set are mostly expensive by lot. I decided to purchase my unit from Singapore. Thanks to a friend (Mardhia) who has a local Singapore address to be use for drop off.

At first, I requested she to survey the iPhone in the actual store but then since it’s just recently launched, expected to be out of stock.

Thinking it would be a real hassle if she are about to queue and rush to get the phone in the store, I tried my luck to buy it online and use Malaysia address. Yeah, as everyone know, it doesn’t get through. I then use Mar’s Singapore local address for the shipping. I even use Directaccess (Malaysian billing address) for payment. It’s quite a surprise because some people report that Malaysia credit card won’t be accepted. Lucky me I guess.

During that time, I have to wait for 3 weeks. I would say it’s really 3 weeks of waiting! The package is shipped and arrived exactly 3 weeks after the confirmation of purchase. Should I compliment Apple for holding on their promise or should I blame them for makes me wait for 3 weeks?

I would say, good job as giving a very good estimation.

p.s. Enjoying every moment of the phone. Much more to come!

Maxis iPhone Promotion KLCC

Today is my first day back to office after long holiday.

It give a good feeling to see Maxis iPhone promotional booth at KLCC foyer. Feeling good for I already have a unit without the hassle to queue and not be bound by the contract! Thanks to Mar for that

People already started queueing since I don't know at what time because by the time I'm there (nearly 8am) it's already this crowded. It's not like the counter going to open a short while.

And to my surprise, a colleague informed me that it's just the same since last week.

No wonder I can see everyone is holding an iPhone at office today.

Happily Ever After

January 2004 is when the story begin. A boy and a girl met. Things happen so much around them, yet so little happen between them. They are just friends.

BBQ Second Mekar BBQ dinner. The best of all I guess.

Time flies so fast, until 2008. An end seems to come after all. Both took their own ways.

Convocation9th Convocation. The end of Uni time for all of us.

Little did they know that something still going on between them.

Teluk Chempedak Mini mekar gathering, play kite at Teluk Chempedak.

On July 2009, it takes just an event to change everything. "Jap nak gi Chow Kit!"

There are ups and downs but things are going strong between them. Everything seems to happen out of coincidence.

Merisik Merisik.

Engagement Engagement.

In a year, who know things could have changed so much. Especially when 25th September marks the climax of this tales.

Married Married.

p.s. I couldn't be any happier. I love you, always.

An End To A Story, A Beginning To Another

In just few days. I'm gonna be married.

It's an end to my single life. It's not gonna be just about me anymore.

Lot of people ask, "How is it? Are you ready?"

To be truth and my most favorite answer is, "I think I'm not, but I have to". Even I'm not ready, there's no excuse. It's about responsibilities either I like it or not. It has to, at the moment I make the vow.

On the other side when talking about ready, how sure we are that we are ready? When will we be ready? To think about just that, sometimes I do feel like we human will never be ready.

It's more of either we want or not. It is really a big joke if we claim to be ready yet we always make a lot of mistakes, silly one. And worse even when we are so afraid to admit that we're not ready yet. Who we are kidding?

Fish Spa @ Mid Valley

Just finish a session of fish spa. The place is very cozy and hygenic.

This is my first time doing it. It took me more than 15 minutes just to really dive my feet fully in the water.

But after that feels like itchy numb. Few moments after the time is up! Haiyaaa, baru nk feels.

I would say it's a good way to relax if you enjoy it.

Maybe I would try again next time!

1431H Tithe

It's way past half the month of Ramadan and I'm yet to wish any of you happy fasting, happy Ramadan or anything like that. Happy fasting and happy Ramadan anyway!

I hope this Ramadan is better for all of you, amiin.

In the good fortune for all of us to enjoy our good food, good cloth, good preparation for coming Aidilfitri, just don't forget our responsibilities.

I've done mine, alhamdulillah. So I believe you'll do yours. May there will be more barakah in our life.

iCity - City of Digital Lights

I've heard about it from my younger sister. She told me that it is a nice place to visit.

Being curious, I search around the internet and I can see a lot of picture and people are really excited about it.

The first time I went there is together with my love one, on a special day. Too bad, we didn't bring any camera to capture the moment as we just want to enjoy it.

It just cost us RM1 to enter the parking area. I've been inform it went up to RM2 few days later after the launching ceremony.

I went there back later with Kerel for some shooting and to my surprise, it cost RM5!

Entrance Ticket

I would say the view is calmly romantic. But the crowd is not that friendly. You won't have the chance to get to the romantic part and suddenly will get disturbed. HAHA! Not that somebody will disturbed you but definitely people talking and shouting around.

I also would suggest that you go there on the weekdays, just because weekends will just be more hectic. I believe you won't find any space to walk around on weekdays.

Cuci The Musical 2

I'm as the fifth member of Cuci Cuci Services (M) Sdn Bhd.

Cuci The Musical 2

The movie is nice and I do plan to go since the beginning, but didn't get the chance to. We heard a lot of good remarks about it, hence we went to the theater last weekend with high expectation. Furthermore, this is the second season of it. Nothing could go wrong with it, we guess.

Cuci The Musical 2

This is my first time watching theater in Istana Budaya, and I would say I'm impressed with the hall. It's simply WOW! And this is also first time I'm watching theater apart of performance by Tronoh Theater Shop (TTS) during my studies in UTP.

About the show, all I can say it's not up to the expectation. As for me, I do somehow feels performance by TTS far more interesting to certain extend. I'm not saying it's bad or what, it's just not that good.

Yeah, they made us laugh quite a lot with the jokes and all. In the end, we still enjoy the show :)

A Year Older

This week mark another year for myself. A year older.

I hardly get any birthday wishes. Not only that, I even hardly remember my own birthday.

I remember last time during high school, my final year. My room mates and I doing spring cleaning for hostel inspection. All sweaty, wet and dirty. Yeah it's my birthday, but who cares? Even I don't realized it.

Out of sudden around 10pm I guess, there's announcement summon for me to be in front of dining hall.

"Ape pulak nihhhhhhhh?" I did feel irritated! HAHA! Ya lah, mana tidaknya. Tengah penat-penat kemas bilik.

With feet dragging, I went down there.

To my surprises, standing there few of my good friends. All wishing me Happy Birthday and present with a puzzle, something that I love.

Below is the puzzle after it's completed.Leo

Represent my horoscope, the Great Leo :P

Thank you, the very first birthday present I received.

And this year, another special memory for me. Something that I will never forget.

Crocs

Thanks love!

Floria Putrajaya 2010

The first time I went to a floral festival was in 2007 during my internship period in Penang. I would say floral festival is somewhat refreshing. It's so amazing.

Floria Putrajaya 2010

I went again this year on the last day of the festival, held in Putrajaya. This time around, the scenery and exhibition so much better! It feels like in a garden.

Yeah, of course in addition to a great company :)

Yet too bad, it's raining heavily after a short while. So couldn't really enjoy it. Overall, it's a good time. Nothing can go wrong with flowers, aite?

Get to my Flickr for few more shots!

Kemasek Beach

Have nothing to do, I browse my collection of photo. I found a picture I capture not long ago, before I moved to KL.

Indeed, I do miss Kerteh. The environment for me is a better place to live. But I do found peace with current job here. :)

How Will You Measure Your Life?

Just would love to share an insightful text to read. I received it in my email this morning. We always forget what mattered most to us. And always things that we think mattered most ended up the things we pay attention less.
Kids misbehave every day. It’s really not until 20 years down the road that you can put your hands on your hips and say, “I raised a good son or a good daughter.”

You can neglect your relationship with your spouse, and on a day-to-day basis, it doesn’t seem as if things are deteriorating.

People who are driven to excel have this unconscious propensity to underinvest in their families and overinvest in their careers—even though intimate and loving relationships with their families are the most powerful and enduring source of happiness.

If you study the root causes of business disasters, over and over you’ll find this predisposition toward endeavors that offer immediate gratification. If you look at personal lives through that lens, you’ll see the same stunning and sobering pattern: people allocating fewer and fewer resources to the things they would have once said mattered most

There are lot more to discuss from the text. Have a good read!

Sennheiser HD555

Yeay! There is souvenir comes from Brussels.

I've been longing for this headphone for a long time. Since the first time I'm looking for one. But at that time, I know I can't afford one.

I still can't afford it now, considering the price mark here in Malaysia. But look at price offer at amazon.de. That is totally acceptable, lotssss cheaper!

It is really worth every hassle.

Thank you very much love!

Self and Family

A conversation happen nearby my cubicle at work.
Mrs A: Eh, ade banyak promotion sekarang ni. Jom la gi jalan-jalan.
Mrs B: Haaa, ape lagi. Arrange la.
Mrs A: Jom pegi kita-kita je la. Tak payah bawa anak-anak.
Mrs B: Aku gi jalan-jalan setakat ni tak pernah tinggal.
Mrs A: Sometimes we need time for ourself jugak.

It struck me. Like, really?

Children and spouse are not the best thing you ever got already? Which part of it that you don't have time for yourself? I'm suppose every single time spent with love one is time for self, no?

Why is that never enough? Maybe it won't enough until we lost it.

Yeah, can't blame them. People nowadays live for themself. It's all about self, hardly about family. How is that to justify the value of family?

But I guess, that's just me a conservative man. Who just have his family to hang on.

Belon Rahsia

Balloon

Saat aku kesunyian. Aku mencari rahsia tersembunyi di celah-celah belon itu.

Kamu mungkin fikir aku gila. Tetapi aku tahu, di celah-celah belon itu adanya rahsia yang berharga.

Kamu mungkin ketawa mengilai. Tetapi aku yakin, di celah-celah belon itu tak ada siapa dapat menilai.

Kamu mungkin kata aku bermimpi. Tetapi aku alami, di celah-celah belon itu menyentuh rasa diri.

Kamu mungkin tidak akan mengerti. Selama-lamanya.

Learning Concept

How many times have you go through a new concept to know that you still can’t get to understand it?

I always had this kind of difficulty. It’s hard for me to understand something.

For example, how to manage Drupal CMS. It’s been ages I’m trying to understand it’s underlying concept. But to no avail, I failed miserably.

At some point when you aren’t really trying anymore, when you just want to take a simple look at the concept, you can see some light of hope. Out of sudden, you just started to know how to put things together. Everything comes to your mind and you seems to know how thing works. It’s just another piece of puzzle for you.

And at the point of time you will say, “Ah this is just easy!”

It happen again today. Another puzzle solved.

What a great feeling.

Series of Unfortunate Event

I don't know why, but things doesn't seems to be in my favor.

My backup database is corrupted after transferring to another hosting.

Hope my previous hosting still have a good backup file.

As of now, I already know how to utilize Drupal. Yet I still think I'll stick with Wordpress for this blog. It's much more easier that way for day to day rambling.

p.s. Off to sleep with mind still thinking about the backup file :(
